Shift Notes

CHARGE required for all shifts - 5p-530a

2 Years recent med surge / Tele Charge experience required

  • Experience : Radial band and femoral cath recoveries.

    • Driver's License required for submission to be considered

    MUST for all submissions :

  • Must have EPIC experience
  • Preferred travel experience
  • Must have IL license in hand

    • Department : Med Tele RN

  • # Beds : 31
  • Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 5-6
  • Required Certifications : BLS
  • Common diagnosis : CHF, strokes, chest pain, Dm, PN, COPD, detox, underlying cardiac conditions. Cath lab

    • recoveries.

  • Experience : Radial band and femoral cath recoveries.
  • Are RN's required to titrate drips : No
  • Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Lasix, heparin, bumex, protonix, octreotide.
  • Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit : RNs read tele. They do have a centralized tele tech that helps

    • monitor.

  • Charge Nurse / House Supervisor : Team Lead during the day- does not take patients. Charge on

    • nights / weekends / holidays. Charge takes patients.

  • Are there Nurse Aides on this unit / Ratios : Yes. 1 : 10-12.
  • RT / Equipment : Cpap / bipap intermittent only.
  • Shifts & Scheduling : 12 hours 5-5 TL does schedule. Try to accommodate if it works for staffing. If starting

    • middle of the schedule, you will be filled in.

  • Weekend Requirements : Every other.
  • Holiday Requirements : Evey other.
  • Is there Call or a Standby requirement : No
  • Floating Requirements : Medical floors / step down to take tele level patients.
  • Scrub Color : Caribbean colored scrubs.
  • Unit / Department Specific Orientation : 1- 12 hour shift.
