About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience :

• Minimum of 18 months of recent NICU or PICU experience required
• Trauma Level I experience in a children's hospital in the last year required

License :

Indiana State License required

Certifications :

ACLS

BLS

NBRC RRT

NRP required for those placed in L&D (can obtain once offered)

PALS preferred

Must-Have :

Must have L&D experience as they will primarily be in L&D

Experience with NICU, PICU, and ventilation support

Must be proficient in using Servo I, Servo U, and Hamilton G5 ventilators

Description :

This role involves providing respiratory care for pediatric patients.

Candidates should expect to float between NICU, PICU, and Pediatric units as needed.

Experience with high flow nasal cannula, aerosol setups, extubation, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms is essential.

Hands-on experience with medication administration, including inhaled steroids and bronchodilators, is required.

The candidate should also demonstrate proficiency in interpreting arterial blood gases and managing tracheostomy care.

Flexibility to adapt to unit needs and modifications in assignments based on facility requirements is critical.

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract period.

All certifications and licenses must be in hand prior to submission for the role.
