Assistant Director, Principal Gift Projects & Analytics

Johns Hopkins University supports a flexible work model which includes four different work modalities. This role has a hybrid work arrangement. The manager will confirm the team's core onsite days where the majority / all team members will work in the office. Employees who travel on university business can count those days towards their onsite days.
The Assistant Director, Principal Gifts Projects & Analytics (Development Strategy Associate) will be responsible for supporting the deliverables and donor and prospect strategy of the principal gifts program within the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine (FJHM). Reporting to the Director of Principal Gifts Strategy at FJHM, this role will provide critical project management, donor and prospect analytics, and impact reporting support to leaders and fundraisers throughout the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine and in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University Central Development and Alumni Relations (DAR). The Development Strategy Associate will support the creation of an array of donor-facing and institutional leadership-facing materials by conducting research, writing, reviewing, editing, and serving as a liaison to internal partners. The Development Strategy Associate will be responsible for supporting deliverables in appropriate formats to include principal-level proposals ($5 million and up); leadership briefings; correspondence; gift agreements; stewardship reports; principal gifts data; progress and forecasting reports; and partnering across the institution to gather, compile, and produce written and visual materials.
Key Responsibilities :
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree. Two years of related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma / graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications : Professional experience in project management, advancement services, analytics, or related area preferably data within medical or academic philanthropy. Experience with data visualization / analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), SalesForce CRM report building and advanced Microsoft 365 skills. Outstanding organizational, analytical, data visualization and communication skills. High degree of professionalism, discretion, and a relationship-driven, service mindset.
