Level 1 IT Technician
Location : Everett Public Schools (K-12 Districtwide)
Reports To : IT Manager
Position Summary
The Level 1 IT Technician provides first-line technical support to staff, students, and administrators across Everett Public Schools. This role focuses on troubleshooting and resolving basic hardware, software, and classroom technology issues, while ensuring excellent customer service. The Level 1 Technician will also support the setup and maintenance of student and staff devices, assist with inventory management, and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide front-line technical support for staff and students across multiple K-12 schools, including help desk tickets, on-site visits, and walk-up support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with computers, Chromebooks, MacBooks, printers, classroom displays, phones, and basic networking.
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and collection of student and staff devices across the district.
- Perform software installations, updates, and account access troubleshooting.
- Support classroom instructional technology (projectors, interactive displays, audio / video systems).
- Maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions in the district ticketing system.
- Assist with IT inventory tracking, labeling, and asset management.
- Follow all district IT policies, including data security and confidentiality guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly, respectfully, and promptly with staff, administrators, and students.
Qualifications
Required :
High School diploma or equivalent.Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to provide clear, patient, and respectful customer service to staff and students.Willingness to learn and take direction from senior IT staff.Preferred :
Previous experience working in a K-12 school or customer service environment.Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft Office, and common classroom technology.CompTIA A+ or similar entry-level IT certification (or willingness to pursue).Working Conditions

The pay range for this position is $60,000-$75,000 annually. The final salary within this range will be determined by the candidate's level of experience, education, and specific qualifications for the role.
