Job Summary :
The Classroom Assistant serves as a co-pilot to the Teacher and Teacher Assistant. They are in charge of keeping bulletin boards up to date, training all new assistants, and assisting with certain aspects of the lesson plan.
Must be very effective at developing individualized programs to meet the unique needs of each student. Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and other stakeholders is required.

- Creating and executing lesson plans.
- Creating weekly classroom newsletters for parents.
- Monitoring and assessing student developmental abilities and milestones.
- Assisting children in the exploration of social-emotional skills.
- Building, and expanding upon, letter and number recognition.
- Continuously working on handwriting skills along with our handwriting program.
- Develop and execute fine and gross motor activities.
- Expand on language development and knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- As an entry-level position, the ideal candidate for this position will have a High School Diploma or GED, flexibility for scheduling purposes, great written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for helping children unlock their true potential.
- Experience at a licensed childcare center is preferred but not required. We will train the right person.
- A MANDATORY Extensive Background Check will be conducted before hiring.
- Must be able to relate well to parents, children, and other staff members.
- Must communicate effectively, have an energetic personality, and be functionally literate in English.
- Must have good attendance, possess organizational skills, time management skills, and the ability to prioritize.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, training sessions, and academy events as requested.
- If hired, First Aid training, CPR, and other training will be required.
