Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Inspired Learners Academy (Opening Winter 2025)

Location : Wheeling, IL Full-Time | School-Year Schedule Therapeutic Day School Setting Start Date : Winter 2025

About Inspired Learners Academy : Opening Winter 2025, Inspired Learners Academy is a therapeutic day school built on the values of compassion, collaboration, and individualized support. As a sister program to Motivated Learners, our school is designed to serve students with diverse learning, communication, and behavioral needs through a team-based, relationship-centered approach.

Position Overview : We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our founding team. In this role, you will assess, develop, and implement individualized speech and language therapy for students ages 5–14 with communication, social, and language needs.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

Provide direct therapy services in individual and small group formats

Collaborate closely with special education teachers, behavior therapists, and related service providers

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring

Offer support and training to staff on communication strategies and AAC when applicable

Qualifications :

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Illinois SLP license and PEL (or eligible)

ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred

Experience working in school or therapeutic settings preferred

Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
