Therapist STARS - Helping Students Remain in School

Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. is looking for Therapists to join our new program, Stand Tall and Remain in School (STARS) to deliver school-based mental health services to students in kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12) in Carroll County Public Schools, addressing school refusal behavior and associated mental health challenges. The Therapists will provide comprehensive, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support student attendance, engagement, and overall well-being, with an emphasis on early identification and intervention.

ABH is a family centered mental health program that offers a wraparound approach to treatment. We specialize in Psychiatry, Off-Site Counseling Services, On-Site therapy, and Therapeutic Mentoring. Compensation : $63,500 - $85,000 based on licensure, experience, and if bilingual Spanish

Location : Carroll County, Maryland

Essential Functions :

• Provide individual, group, and / or family therapy to students in grades K-12. participation in the STARS Program, with a focus on addressing factors that may contribute to school avoidance.
• Conduct clinical assessments to evaluate mental health, emotional, and behavioral needs related to school refusal and chronic absenteeism.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions tailored to each student's needs.
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and other service providers to coordinate care and ensure a comprehensive support system for each student.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to support positive mental health outcomes and improved school attendance.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency, school district, and legal standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and professional development activities related to school-based mental health services.
• Manage a caseload of 20-25 clients, weekly sessions with students and family.
