Unlock your potential at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake! Job Summary and Qualifications You will apply principles of oncology nursing. Provide emotional, spiritual, religious and cultural support to patients and their significant others. You will provide care to patients / donors undergoing cellular therapy collections or therapeutic apheresis procedures. You will provide care to patients being treated for graft versus host disease (GVHD) utilizing photopheresis procedure. You will assess patients / donors prior to, during, and following the procedure. You will ensure patients / donors and their caregivers are educated on the procedure being performed with emphasis on reporting signs or symptoms of reactions related to the procedure. You will provide appropriate post-collection / post-procedure instructions. You will have the ability to manage multiple different central venous catheters. You will be proficient in placing and managing peripheral lines. What qualifications you will need : 1-year of clinical experience as a licensed RN required - Oncology, Cancer, BMT, Bone Marrow Transplant, Infusion, Apheresis Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required BSN is required Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date) Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association) ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) preferred ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification within six months of hire with one year of experience ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse Certification recommended HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is a 530 bed hospital where sophisticated, world-class medicine meets the comfort, care and convenience of a community hospital .
