Shift : 1st shift for training, then 3rd shift

A Day in the Role

You’ll split your time between instrumentation and electrical work—reading and redlining loop sheets and P&IDs, tuning control loops, diagnosing PLC issues, and maintaining power distribution equipment from 480v through 13.8kv. One moment you’re calibrating field instruments for boilers and environmental systems, the next you’re troubleshooting AC / DC drives or a photoelectric sensor on the line. You’ll collaborate with journeymen-level Electrical / Instrumentation technicians, and sharpen your skills through our paid Global Manufacturing Training program that blends hands-on work with classroom learning.

What You’ll Do Instrumentation

• Troubleshoot, configure, and maintain PLC systems and single-loop controls across field systems.
• Install and calibrate a range of analog and SMART instruments and analytical devices from various manufacturers.
• Perform shop and field repairs on final control elements : pneumatic valves, electric valves, solenoid-operated valves; calibrate pneumatic and SMART valve positioners.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics; read and redline loop sheets and P&IDs.
• Execute routine and regulatory calibration of field instruments for boilers and environmental systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Apply NFPA70E practices addressing Arc Flash and Shock hazards.
• Calibration and maintaining control instrumentation.
