A company is looking for a Refund Dispute Specialist responsible for processing payer refund requests and managing disputes in accordance with regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Process payer refund requests and determine the appropriateness of disputes
Verify billing accuracy and compliance with payer contracts and regulations
Communicate with intake, patients, and payers to resolve coordination of benefit issues
Required Qualifications
High School diploma / GED or equivalent required; some college preferred
1-2 years of experience in revenue cycle management with knowledge of reimbursement processes
Familiarity with automated billing systems; experience with CPR+ and Waystar is a plus
Knowledge of medical coding (ICD 9 / 10, CPT, HCPCS) and terminology
Solid Microsoft Office skills with typing speed of 40+ WPM
