Assistant Recruiter Valet & Hospitality Hiring
Wage : $25.00 per hour
Location : Oakland, CA
Schedule : Part-Time - On Site - Monday - Wednesday : 9 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pm
Reports To : Regional Manager & Recruiting Champions
About the Role
We're looking for a Recruiter to drive full-cycle hiring for our valet and hospitality operations. In this role, you'll partner closely with Operations leaders to understand staffing provided by business needs, attract top talent, and deliver a smooth, compliant onboarding experience. What You'll Do
Recruiting Operations
Review and screen applications and resumes for open valet, hospitality, and operational roles.
Conduct initial phone and / or in-person screenings and interviews.
Perform reference checks and support candidate evaluation.
Create and post internal / external job ads aligned with company standards and brand voice.
Partner with Operations
Manage requisition requests from Operations Managers and confirm hiring needs.
Collaborate with hiring managers to review job descriptions, requirements, and role expectations.
Schedule interviews between qualified candidates and hiring managers.
Provide timely updates and guidance throughout the hiring process.
Candidate Management & Onboarding
Develop and maintain interview question sets for phone screens and in-person interviews.
Assess candidate qualifications, verify references, and prepare employment offers.
Coordinate onboarding sessions once offers are accepted.
Partner with Hiring Managers to ensure successful onboarding, role clarity, and goal alignment.
Review new hire paperwork for accuracy and completeness; submit documentation to HR per policy and timelines.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure recruiting and onboarding practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the hiring process.
What You'll Bring
High school diploma or GED required; HR or recruiting coursework is a plus.
2+ years of recruiting experience in hospitality, operations, supply chain, or a related field.
Strong ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with MS Office, mobile recruiting tools, and HRIS / ATS platforms.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience recruiting high-volume / hourly roles.
Familiarity with hospitality or valet operations environments.
Comfort working across multiple sites / locations
