A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the current school year in Covina, CA, supporting a K-12 public school setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide essential speech and language services primarily to elementary students, with caseloads of 55+ children. The position is full time, requiring 30+ hours per week, and includes coverage of a maternity leave through February with a potential extension until June.
Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students. Collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals is essential to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and support student progress. The role requires maintaining detailed documentation, conducting screenings, and implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs.
