Position Summary
The Hospital Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients across various departments. You will collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and timely patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct thorough assessments for medical, surgical, obstetrical, newborn, pediatric, ER, swing bed, and telemetry / cardiac patients.
- Work collaboratively with medical providers and healthcare team members.
- Respond to and manage emergency situations as needed.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately.
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation of patient status, care plans, interventions, and outcomes.
- Follow infection control standards including PPE, hand hygiene, and isolation precautions.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required)Experience in rural healthcare preferredExperience with Electronic Health Records preferredLicenses & Certifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in NebraskaBasic Life Support (BLS) – RequiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – PreferredTrauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – Required within 2 yearsPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – RequiredNeonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – RequiredValid driver’s licenseSchedule : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM
