SCOPE OF POSITION :
Assist the Program Manager as needed. Provide temporary shelter, care, compassion, meals, and supervision for up to six Washington State Foster Care youth (12-17 years) and emerging adults (18-20 years) in emergency placement situations for a maximum of 60 days while awaiting placement.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of similar, full-time experience working with vulnerable populations
- An associate degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of similar, full-time experience working with vulnerable populations
- Or three (3) years of similar, full-time experience working with vulnerable populations
- One or more years of supervisory experience required

Develop positive, professional relationships with coworkers, administration, and professional agenciesProvide support to the Program Manager in supervision and coordination of staffSupport new employees / volunteers through a thorough orientation of the programEnsure all staff are always compliant with TSA and program training requirementsWith the support of HR, prepare and present staff corrective action, as neededIn compliance with program requirements, maintain personnel files for all staffSupport the programs recruitment by screening candidates, interviewing, and determining the next steps with the support to the Program ManagerAssist with preparing and conducting monthly staff meetings and trainingAttend and participate in department meetingsEnsure HIPAA, WAC guidelines, contract, licensing and local policy and procedures complianceCompile Evangeline's House monthly statistics, as directedAssist in development / revisions of the program and practices with oversight of Program ManagerServe as agency's public awareness representative along with Program ManagerDevelop and manage staff schedules, timesheet procedures and breaksParticipate in finding coverage for call outs; provide relief for staff breaksParticipation in on-call schedule requirementsKeep Background Check LogEnsure all required and appropriate paperwork is filed for youth in careContribute to positive morale in the programFollow and ensure compliance with all Child Safety policies and proceduresModel appropriate social and interpersonal behaviors for youthWork directly with DSHS regarding placement and movement of childrenComplete intake and discharge paperworkComply with youth disciplinary guidelinesReport incident and suspected abuse / neglectProperly implement behavior management (de-escalation and restraint)Manage youth transportation needs, HEART Program, school bus schedule and off-site needsAccompany youth to school and appointments as needed (driving, riding or walking)Ensure the safety of all youth in careAdminister medications to youth and complete necessary related documentationCommunicate and document with caseworkers and other agencies regarding youth in careEnsure repair and supply requests are communicated to appropriate recipientsConduct and / or oversee monthly fire drills; report written results to the Program ManagerMaintain facility security by ensuring windows and doors are locked; report any security concernsClean the facility and do laundry when neededPerforms other duties as assignedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
