Job Summary :
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a book of
personal insurance clients. This role involves maintaining strong relationships, handling
renewals, processing policy changes, filing and managing claims and providing information
and advice on coverage options.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as the primary point of contact for personal lines clients unless otherwise stated by
the Risk Advisor
Monitor and maintain expiration reports and relay renewal information to the insured
Handle escalated service issues and act as a liaison between client and carrier
Review and process policy renewals, endorsements, rewrites, cancellations, and
reinstatements
Process applications and provide quotes and coverage recommendations for auto, home,
umbrella, and other personal insurance products
Cross-sell additional lines of coverage and identify opportunities for account-rounding
Resolve billing issues
Report claims to the carrier, follow up, and assist client if problems exist
Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system
Collaborate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate policy issuance
Prepare premium finance agreements if requested
Transact policy premium actions in the agency management system including new
business, renewals, payments, refunds, and adjustments as needed
Stay current on industry trends, carrier guidelines, and regulatory changes
Support agency growth through referrals and retention eorts
Perform in a manner that will prevent errors & omissions
Comply with continuing education requirements by the state for insurance license
renewals
