Job Description

• Traditional workweek plus call and hospital responsibilities, including evenings and weekends
• Minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week plus rounding and call
• On-call schedule / ratio : 1 / 6 shared equitably with other employed OB / GYNs
• Average patients a day : 20-25
• Weekend schedule / ratio : 1 / 6 shared equitably with other employed OB / GYNs
• Opportunity for an OB-GYN seeking a rural-style practice with the support of a large health system and a well-organized multispecialty group practice.
• 100-bed community hospital
• 20-bed LDR unit with a spa-like atmosphere
• Strong network of primary care clinics and specialty care providers
• Support includes Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncologist, 4-bed Level II NICU, 24 / 7 CRNA Anesthesia, Emergency Department, and a SAMG network of 74 Primary & Specialty Care clinics
• Access to larger system resources
• Additional support includes Gyn Onc, MFM, Certified Nurse Midwives, Neonatologists, Genetic Counselors, and 24-hour onsite anesthesia coverage on labor and delivery
• OB Hospitalist service available
• NICU team follows a family-centered approach with outcomes exceeding national benchmarks
• Retirement / move is the reason for coverage
• Desired start date : ASAP
