Position Overview

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Lead Automation Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming projects focused on Siemens Desigo CC and related building technology platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automation development, HVAC systems, and mechanical utilities within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.

This role will be deeply involved in the implementation, programming, and commissioning of building automation systems and will work closely with project teams to ensure successful integration and performance of critical building technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, programming, and implementation of Siemens Desigo CC automation systems.
• Provide technical support for graphics development, linking, and system testing prior to system start-up.
• Collaborate with Siemens and project teams during system commissioning and start-up phases.
• Review and interpret AF&IDs (Air Flow and Instrumentation Diagrams) and P&IDs (Process and Instrumentation Diagrams) for HVAC systems, chillers, and boilers.
• Support electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) and other building technology integrations.
• Oversee construction and commissioning activities, including performing loop checks and verifying control system functionality.
• Ensure automation systems meet GMP, safety, and quality standards in compliance with life sciences industry requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineers and technicians.
