Field Installation Manager
The Field Installation Manager is tasked with leading the installation of parcel and D&F conveying systems. This requires interfacing with the mechanical superintendent, project manager, and client to successfully complete these projects. The incumbent will assist with the layout, plan, and execution the specific tasks associated with installation. The Mechanical Installation Manager is accountable for conveyor installs through their completion and will conduct regular post-installation quality checks.
Job Description :
- To assign installation teams to projects
- Manage sub-contractors throughout the process of a project lifecycle.
- Assess talent, train, motivate, and manage said talent for future growth
- Liaise between Field Services and Project Managers for resource allocation
- Enforce Health and Safety policy for all projects
- Assist Project Managers to develop project schedules
- Ensure correct resource is deployed to projects / tasks
- Obtain assistance from the Engineering department to implement new working methods / activities
- Implement and monitor procedures to ensure that the installations are delivered to a high standard, safely, on time and within budget
- Work with the Head of Field Services to develop strategies to adapt working process and procedures in line with business requirements
- Adopting global initiatives while balancing local requirements
- Maintaining and developing best in class Installation teams
- Achieve company goals for profit; service and customer satisfaction
- Ensure that team members meet project budgets, company expectations and deadlines through regular review
- Deliver continuous process improvements
- Promote technical expertise and create subject matter experts
- Carry out regular Quality audits, and pursue those accountable to rectify issues
