Job Title : Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at [Nursing Home Name], a premier nursing facility in New York State. The CNA will provide essential care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to all state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rates.
- Provide mobility assistance, including helping residents with walking, transferring, or positioning.
- Observe and report any changes in residents’ physical, mental, or emotional condition to the nursing staff.
- Assist with feeding, preparing meals, and ensuring residents receive appropriate nutrition.
- Help with range-of-motion exercises and other prescribed physical therapy tasks.
- Maintain residents' hygiene and comfort through bed changes, skin care, and toileting.
- Support residents in maintaining their dignity and respecting their rights.
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate and timely medical records in accordance with nursing home policies.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of residents’ living spaces.
- Participate in care planning and review meetings as needed.
- Provide emotional support to residents and their families.
- Comply with all New York State Department of Health regulations and infection control protocols.
Qualifications :
Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in New York State.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in a long-term care facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Compassionate, patient, and caring demeanor.Ability to lift, move, and assist residents in a safe manner.Basic knowledge of medical terminology and the healthcare environment.Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to assist with the movement and transfer of residents.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.Benefits :
