About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum 2 years RN experience required

License : Valid state or compact RN license required

Certifications : BCLS required, ACLS preferred, NIHSS preferred, OCN preferred

Must-Have :

EPIC experience required

Oncology experience preferred

Description :

Mixed acuity - PCU and Med / Surg patients.

Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.

Previous travel experience preferred.

Self-schedule requests will be considered before finalizing the schedule.

First week of orientation will be days, Monday to Friday.

Second week will include on-unit orientation with a preceptor.

Daily Census : 32 patients.

Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.

Patient diagnoses primarily include head and neck cancers, neuro-oncology, and brain tumors.

Infection prevention and patient fall protocols are a heavy focus.

Special procedures include tracheostomy care, drain management, and general patient care.

Staffing support includes interdisciplinary teams such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Telemetry monitoring is performed with specialized equipment.

Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are required skills.

Administration of chemotherapy may be part of patient care responsibilities.

Completion of fingerprinting process is a requirement before employment starts.

Two professional references are required for the application.

Candidates must provide at least one reference from a manager or someone in a leadership role.
