About the Position
Wills Eye Hospital seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Coordinator, Continuing Medical Education (CME) to play a key role in supporting accredited medical education programs for physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Reporting to the CME Manager, this position is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities in compliance with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) standards. The Senior Coordinator ensures each program upholds Wills Eye Hospital’s commitment to advancing clinical excellence through lifelong learning.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of CME activities, including virtual, in-person, and asynchronous programs.
- Manage event logistics, registration, attendance tracking, and post-activity documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ACCME accreditation standards and institutional policies.
- Review and track speaker disclosures, identify educational needs, and assist with objective and content development.
- Maintain complete and accurate records for all CME activities throughout the accreditation term.
- Support the preparation of annual reports, PARS submissions, and reaccreditation materials.
- Monitor updates to CME regulations and recommend internal policy adjustments as appropriate.
- Manage invoicing, payment processing, and joint providership applications.
- Oversee the Visiting Professor Lecture Series, including speaker coordination and expense reconciliation.
- Collaborate with faculty and CME leadership to evaluate program effectiveness and identify process improvements.
- Develop and distribute promotional materials for CME activities.
- Provide on-site support for CME events as required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field.2–4 years of experience coordinating educational or professional development programs, preferably in healthcare or academia.Knowledge of ACCME standards and accreditation documentation requirements.Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with attention to detail.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred :
Experience with CME or Continuing Education (CE) program administration.Familiarity with CloudCME or similar CME management software.Certification such as Certified CME Professional (CCMEP).
