Overview

The Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations to maintain a healthy workplace.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees
• Establish safety procedures and protocols
• Write reports on safety incidents and compliance measures
• Implement OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards
• Monitor occupational health of employees
• Conduct root cause analysis for safety incidents
• Complete any other tasks as assigned by management.

Work Environment

The work environment for the position includes enclosed offices and workshop production floor.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of the position include walking, standing, reaching, and sitting, on a regular basis; ability to speak and hear; ability to visually detect product color and shading variation; lifting objects from one level to another; entering text or data via keyboard into a computer; seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hands; ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and / or sounds.
