Software Engineer Manager

As a Software Engineer Manager within PNC's Technology organization, you can be based in Strongsville OH, Pittsburgh PA, Birmingham AL or Dallas TX. This position is primarily based in a location within PNC's footprint. You will oversee a staff of software engineers responsible for delivering low-code / no-code cloud solutions to automate business processes, extract or store data in Sharepoint & Dataverse, and create intuitive user interfaces with an emphasis on accessibility.

Technical skills : Azure MS Power Platform (Power Automate, Power FX, Power BI, Dataverse) preferred

Team Leadership & Development : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers. Conduct performance evaluations and support career development. Recruit and onboard new engineering talent.

Technical Oversight : Guide architectural decisions and ensure code quality through reviews. Promote best practices in software development and testing. Stay current with emerging technologies and integrate them as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Align engineering efforts with business objectives and customer needs. Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.

Process Improvement : Identify and implement process enhancements to improve team efficiency. Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development. Minimum of 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role. Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and software development life cycles. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
