Job Description

Join a leading manufacturer offering a wide range of customized solutions in the marketing supply chain, including print production, displays, merchandising solutions, packaging, creative services, fulfillment, and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
• Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using a computer.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

Essential Skills

• Experience with shipping software and material handling.
• Proficiency in forklift operating, inventory management, picking, order picking, and using an RF scanner.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with reach truck and sit-down order picking.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled distribution environment alongside four other shipping clerks. Must wear steel toe boots and work pants. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesquite, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
