Occupational Therapist PRN Opportunity!
Must have substantial weekday availability and availability to cover one weekend a month
Summary :
Under the general supervision of the rehab manager or supervisor, performs therapy examinations, develops treatment plans and goals, and applies interventions in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the profession, applicable state licensure regulations, and hospital policies and procedures to a variety of patients ranging from newborn to geriatric in age in an acute care setting. Opportunity for rotation to outpatient sites may exist per operational need.

Education : Graduate of an accredited curriculum with a minimum of a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. For individuals who completed appropriate Occupational Therapy education prior to 2015, with a valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice or proof of license eligibility, a Bachelors degree or greater in Occupational Therapy will be accepted in lieu of the Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in Connecticut : Successful completion of minimum educational requirements for licensure including all clinical practice and comprehensive examinations. Temporary licensure may be considered at the discretion of the department manager. Current CPR Certification Meets continuing education requirements for state Licensure & CPR Certification Prefer : Previous experience delivering comprehensive care in an acute setting to patients with physical dysfunction secondary to disability, disease, or injury in accordance with professional standards of practice. Prefer : Previous experience with diagnoses including orthopedic, pulmonary, oncology, pain management, vestibular, amputations, multi-trauma, neurological and medically complex patients.
