Full-Time / DAY SHIFT

The nurse scientist has the primary responsibility of facilitating nursing research. The nurse scientist guides and directs the work of the nurse researcher(s). The nurse scientist demonstrates the ability to be creative in the development, formulation and outcomes of nursing research that contributes to clinical practice. The nurse scientist fosters evidence-based practice by improvement of patient outcomes, decreased costs, increased patient experience, development of protocols and critical pathways and nursing care based on current technology and knowledge.

The nurse scientist collaborates with all Premier Health facilities to ensure the nursing research process us utilized efficiently and is directed at achieving optimal patient outcomes. Through education, individual and group consultation and by working with project teams, the nurse scientist provides the expertise to facilitate nursing research, evidence-based proactive and quality improvement.

Doctorate degree

Graduate from accredited school of nursing

Valid Ohio RN license

5-7 years of job-related experience

Minimum of five years clinical practice required and has demonstrated ability to conduct research and publish.
