Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to become part of our exceptional healthcare team. We are a proud affiliate of Urgent Team, one of the largest operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast, offering quality and affordable family healthcare across more than 80 locations.

About Us : Our walk-in centers provide comprehensive healthcare services, including treatment for injuries, illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. We are open seven days a week : Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All our centers are Accredited Care Centers, ensuring that we meet the highest standards in safety and quality.

What We Offer :

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding medical care to patients of all ages. Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and educating patients while maintaining an exceptional standard of care. Our full-time providers work a rotating 36-40 hour / week schedule, including 12-hour shifts on weekdays and alternating weekends.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Provide compassionate and accessible patient care to everyone seeking health services.
  • Lead and manage emergencies with confidence while providing reassurance to patients.
  • Conduct medical assessments and manage a variety of clinic patients.
  • Perform essential medical procedures such as laceration repairs and injections.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate levels of care for clinic patients.
  • Oversee laboratory services, x-rays, and other essential operations.
  • Engage in policy development to enhance medical practice and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in educational programs for staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Mentor and support staff to ensure quality patient services.

Qualifications :

We prefer candidates with at least 1 year of related experience as a Provider and the following credentials :

  • State License as an APRN or Physician Assistant
  • Certification as an APRN or Physician Assistant through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
  • DEA license (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • DOT certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • BLS certification
