Job Title : Psychologist Profession : Psychologist Specialty : Staff Augmentation Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM Experience : Minimum years of experience required License : Required Certifications : Required Must-Have : - Valid state license to practice psychology - Relevant certifications Description : In accordance with training and scope of practice, administer and interpret psychometric tests as part of treatment needs for specific diagnoses. Provide treatment and psychological individual and group interventions. Administer, score, and interpret individual psychological tests or test batteries for purposes of crisis intervention, neuropsychological issues, risk assessment, and severe behavioral management. Conduct assessments for potential suicide and participate in hearings as assigned. As a member of the interdisciplinary team, develop and implement mental health interventions that address psychological, social, and substance abuse needs for a caseload of individuals with mental illness. Conduct individual and group clinical interventions as prescribed in the individual mental health treatment plan using clinical intervention strategies within the scope of practice. Provide mental health liaison services to an assigned caseload, monitoring compliance with the mental health treatment plan. Complete detailed screens, mental health evaluations, and crisis services within the scope of practice. Document all offender contacts, mental health liaison progress notes, discharge plans, and miscellaneous forms and reports as needed. Complete psychosocial needs and treatment assessments as part of interdisciplinary treatment planning. Finish transfer and discharge summaries and clinical risk assessments and treatment summaries. Consult with other institution staff regarding the mental health caseload, institutional adjustment, and service needs. Attend meetings of psychology clinical case consultation. Participate in and instruct in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development. Conduct expert-witness assessments as needed. No cell phones are permitted until proper paperwork has been submitted and approved. Must clear a metal detector, and no cans, tobacco, vapes, etc. are permitted.
