Inbound Supervisor
VGM Fulfillment is a national leader in CPAP machine and resupply order fulfillment. As an employee-owned company, every person at VGM has a personal stake in seeing business succeed. We do this by taking responsibility from our customers for the key operations of order fulfillment : picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management. Our network of fulfillment centers is strategically located throughout the United States providing coverage to all 50 states. This role needs to be present onsite at our warehouse location in Phoenix, AZ.
Job Purpose Summary :
The inbound supervisor will have leadership and management over receiving, returns, replenishment, and inventory, as well as oversight of warehouse team leads and hourly production or production support team members. It is important for the supervisor to have a general awareness and knowledge of how all incoming freight affects the business. The role is accountable to the warehouse manager for departmental and shift applicable key performance indicators [KPIs].
Functions of the Inbound Supervisor role will include :
- Maintain a thorough understanding of standard operating procedures and answer any complex questions relating to the procedures
- Responsible for leading and developing assigned team members, inclusive of completing annual reviews, weekly timecards, and any time off requests
- Oversight and execution of daily shift goals and tasks as defined by warehouse manager
- Execution of allocating labor for volume as defined by warehouse manager
- Enforcement of department related incentive programs as approved by head of operations and head of finance
- Accountable to designated production and replenishment established KPIs for designated shift
- Lead by example in following safety protocols and encouraging reporting of safety concerns
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards and complete all necessary documentation; ensure the appropriate corrective action is taken
- Responsible for implementation of health and safety, security, and compliance initiatives, practices and behaviors and strict adherence to company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and safety work environment to prevent accidents and injuries
- Track all equipment and maintain record of accountability
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working with others of varying backgrounds
- Set a positive example through personal attendance and time management
- Be willing and adapt to change to support business objectives
