Job Summary :
The Registered Nurse will provide skilled nursing care focusing on pediatric patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and pre-testing environments. This role involves direct patient care assessment and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities :
- Provide skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in the PACU and pre-testing areas.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care.
Required Skills & Certifications :
Active Registered Nurse license in Washington D.C. (or proof of pending application with the Board of Nursing for at least 3-4 weeks).2-3 years of experience in Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care and Pre-Testing.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Preferred Skills & Certifications :
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.Special Considerations :
No on-call responsibilities.Missed shifts due to call-outs must be made up at the end of the contract.Modules are required to be completed within the first week of the assignment.Final Direct Instructions (FDI) from the client do not constitute clearance to start; clearance must be obtained prior to the first day.No exemptions accepted.Scheduling :
Four 10-hour shifts per week Monday through Friday with a varying day off.Variable shift start times between 6 : 00 AM and 11 : 00 AM (6 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM 8 : 00 AM - 6 : 30 PM 9 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM 10 : 00 AM - 8 : 30 PM 11 : 00 AM - 9 : 30 PM).No weekends or holidays.Key Skills
