Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Summary The Manufacturing Engineer Manager leads the Manufacturing Engineering teams for Connector and Cable Assembly at the Chandler, Arizona facility. This position collaborates with Engineering counterparts in Wallingford, CT, West Palm Beach, FL, and Shanghai, China. The qualified candidate will oversee manufacturing technology improvements and enhance operational efficiency. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager ensures the effective operation of production-related equipment and processes to produce high-quality products consistently and cost-effectively. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide leadership and coaching to the Manufacturing Engineering team supporting production Establish objectives, schedules, and priorities for Manufacturing Engineering activities Plan and coordinate resources for the Manufacturing Engineering teams Analyze work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layouts for maximum efficiency Identify new manufacturing equipment technologies and justify capital expenditure requests Lead problem-solving teams and implement solutions Serve as escalation point for technical and quality issues in manufacturing Contribute to Design for Manufacturability during design reviews and changes Develop manufacturing processes using Lean Manufacturing techniques Manage transition of new products from engineering to production Create and update Manufacturing Instructions and lead operations and facility transfers Analyze manufacturing variance data and implement improvements Establish schedules for new methods, products, or cost reductions, and review engineering change activities Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to coach team members effectively Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Experience with Lean Manufacturing Willing to travel 20-25%, including internationally Times Microwave Systems is an equal opportunity employer M / F / D / V. #J-18808-Ljbffr
