Job description

Position : Substance Abuse / Mental Health Clinician

Location : Keansburg NJ

Job Type : Full-time

Summary : Resa Treatment Center is a licensed outpatient substance abuse treatment provider, offering comprehensive co-occurring counseling services to adults struggling with addiction-related issues in the Bayshore area. Primary responsibilities include providing individual, group, and family counseling services to assigned clients.

Education : Bachelor's (Required), Master’s degree in related field (Preferred)

Required Licensure / Certifications : LCSW / LSW, LPC / LAC, LCADC / CADC

Experience : Two years of experience in substance abuse and / or related field.

Responsibilities :

  • Facilitate group, individual, and family counseling services
  • Assist with on-site drug screening protocols, including sample collection
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessment of client’s treatment needs.
  • Maintain client caseload including all case management, treatment planning duties, and clinical charting as required.
  • Obtain previous records that are relevant to the current treatment plan.
  • Development of the client discharge / continuum of care plan to ensure movement to the appropriate levels of care.
  • Participate fully as a member of a multidisciplinary team for assigned clients and attend all clinical meetings.
  • Communicate and interact with the director and other program staff in the decision-making process involving clients.
  • Documenting all counseling and education services, assessments, reassessments, referrals, and follow-up in the client’s clinical record.
  • Provide coordination of support services for the client / family and record the services provided in the client’s clinical record.
  • Contact and coordination with referral sources, (i.e. legal, IDRC, DCPP, employer, etc.)
  • Facilitate needed interventions for crisis-orientated issues utilizing a multi-disciplinary team approach for assigned clients.
  • Required to stay up to date regarding all certifications / continuing education as per licensing requirements set forth by The State of New Jersey.

  • 8-hour shift
  • Five days per week (Monday through Friday)
  • 1-2 evening shifts per week (1-9pm)
