A BMA (Beshenich Muir & Associates) is seeking a Senior SAP Application Administrator for a remote role. The selected candidate will support the AMPS program within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), performing SAP-related responsibilities and advanced tasks requiring seasoned expertise.
Job Summary
- The selected candidate will support the AMPS program within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
- As a senior-level administrator, the selected candidate will perform all SAP-related responsibilities listed below, along with advanced tasks requiring seasoned expertise.
Serve as the technical lead and primary point of contact for large-scale, high-impact projects.
Oversee and guide small-scale initiatives, ensuring timely execution and alignment with program objectives.Manage, mentor, and review the work of junior application administrators.Lead system analysis and process optimization efforts, driving technical solutions to completion.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues to maintain optimal system performance.Responsible for configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system.Collaborate to resolve SAP transport and source code problems. Responsible for the installation, upgrade and maintenance of SAP systems and ancillary components.Evaluate and design of interfaces between SAP and external systems.Monitor the maintenance of the SAP Data Dictionary and database objects.Manage the migration of SAP database and application configuration into production as well as analyze, develop and maintain data architectures / process models within SAP.Generate documentation for and updates to the existing SAP environment and work with IT and business units to modernize the SAP environment.Clearance Requirements
There is a Secret Security clearance requirement and IT-I Critical Sensitive clearance or a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check ( NACLC
Required Skills & Certifications
6 years of industry or functional skills.Minimum SAP Experience 3-6 Years.IAT Level I.8570.01-M Baseline Certification to include application, data, database, utility or software tools administration which require "Privileged" access.From most current DLA approved Computing Environment Certification List :SAPCTA – System Administration (Oracle DB) with SAP NetWeaver 7.5;
