About The Position

Job Title : Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (18 : 45 - 07 : 15)

Experience : 2 years minimum required

License : Valid state license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS

Must-Have :

• Candidates must have at least 2 years of pediatric ER experience.
• Candidates are required to have a strict no-tobacco policy and must pass a nicotine drug screen.

Description :

This position requires working in a Pediatric Emergency Room.

The RN will work on a 12-hour night shift.

Candidates must commit to working every other weekend and every other holiday.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 : 5-6.

First-time travelers will not be accepted for this role.

This is a frontline role in an acute care setting.

Candidates will be required to float within the scope of their role.

Experience in handling pediatric emergency cases is preferred.

The RN must be skilled in airway management and triage.

The unit supports various specialties including respiratory services and pharmacy.

Familiarity with charting systems, particularly Cerner, is preferred.

The environment serves diverse patient age groups, from neonates to adolescents.

Special procedures include high flow nasal cannula and procedural sedation techniques.
