Lawn Spray Technician

Mainscape is hiring Spray Technicians

Our Spray Technicians ensure the safety and appropriate application of chemical products and fertilizer to enhance the quality of our client’s landscape.

Minimum Job Requirements are 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Pesticide license preferred.

Mainscape Requirements:

• You must be at least 18 years old, reliable, and have the ability to work safely.
• Valid Driver’s license required
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check is required
• Mainscape participates in the E-Verify program

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform fertilization, herbicide and pest management treatments on turf using approved spray equipment.
• Calculate product and carrier quantities.
• Properly mix and apply plant protection and/or fertilizer products using various types of application equipment.
• Safe handling and use of all chemicals.
• May assist in various maintenance activities as required.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 25 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally.
