We are seeking a Credit Analyst to support the management of credit and liquidity risk across a portfolio of market participants. In this role, you will assess counterparty creditworthiness, monitor exposure, and recommend actions to mitigate potential risks. You'll analyze financial data, enhance underwriting processes, and provide insights on emerging market trends that could affect counterparties.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports on credit exposure and portfolio performance.
- Manage a portfolio of counterparties through exposure tracking, annual reviews, limit management, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with membership, treasury, and risk management teams to improve and streamline existing processes.
- Partner with financial institutions and insurers to ensure credit documentation complies with organizational standards.
- Conduct thorough credit risk analyses for new and existing market participants using established credit models.
- Serve as a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding credit and risk inquiries.
- Assist in preparing presentations and updates for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate significant credit risks and emerging issues.
- Recommend appropriate credit limits in alignment with participant activity levels and internal policies.
- Lead improvements to credit risk systems, including reporting and functionality enhancements.
- Work cross-functionally to investigate and resolve credit-related issues, ensuring effective risk controls.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk.Effective communicator and team collaborator, able to build relationships across departments and with external partners.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in both quantitative and qualitative assessment.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work products.EOE STATEMENT
