Salary : $80.00-$100.00 per hour

Verasonics is seeking a full-time, contract Mechanical Engineer to work on cutting-edge ultrasound research systems. The Mechanical Engineer will support the design, prototyping, and release of innovative products in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. The estimated length of the assignment is approximately 69 months. Candidates must be located in Washington state and be available to work frequently on-site in our Kirkland, WA office.

Responsibilities :

• Design and verify mechanical components for ultrasound systems and transducers.
• Lead mechanical design efforts from concept through testing and release.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and iterate designs.
• Develop mechanical specifications, perform tolerance and thermal analyses.
• Create and manage CAD files, drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks and PLM tools.
• Conduct design reviews and support integration with other engineering disciplines.
• Test prototypes and production parts; analyze results and recommend improvements.
