We are expanding across 40+ U.S. locations and seeking a Regional Manager of Fleet Maintenance to oversee fleet operations in the Northern VA / DC region.
Position Overview
Full-time, Chantilly, VA (On-Site). Salary : $75,000 – $80,000 annually.
What you'll do
- Manage daily fleet operations across the Northern VA / DC region.
- Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures to optimize performance and reduce costs.
- Monitor vehicle utilization and ensure optimal deployment of assets.
- Analyze fleet data and KPIs to develop action plans for performance improvement.
- Ensure regular preventive maintenance and timely repairs of all vehicles.
- Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Investigate and report incidents, accidents, or damage involving fleet vehicles.
- Lead regional preventive maintenance programs with 100% PM compliance rate.
- Coordinate with service providers for maintenance, leasing, fuel, and other fleet-related services.
- Negotiate contracts and evaluate supplier performance.
- Manage relationships with local and regional vendors.
- Prepare and manage regional fleet budgets, forecasts, and expenditure reports.
- Track and report on fuel usage, maintenance expenses, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain maintenance and repair costs under 2% for the region.
- Identify cost savings opportunities and deliver results against financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation laws including DOT, OSHA, and EPA requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date records on vehicle registration, insurance, inspections, and licenses.
- Conduct fleet audits and inspections.
- Supervise and support local fleet supervisors, dispatchers, and mechanics.
- Provide training and development opportunities to regional fleet staff.
- Partner with regional operations leaders to align fleet strategies with business priorities.
- Utilize fleet management systems (FMS) and GPS tracking tools for data analysis and operational improvements.
- Generate regular reports on KPIs, performance metrics, and fleet health.
- Implement technology rollouts including telematics and fuel management systems.

What you'll bring
Minimum 5-8 years of fleet management experience, preferably in a multi-site or regional role.Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance best practices.Proven leadership experience managing fleet teams across multiple locations.Proficient with fleet management software and MS Office Suite.Ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable insights.Strong vendor management, negotiation, and contract management skills.Valid driver's license (CDL may be required).Ability to travel within the Northern VA / DC region a minimum of one week per month.Who you are
