Project Manager - Heavy Civil Construction
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager with a strong background in heavy civil construction to join our growing team. In this role, you will oversee all phases of assigned projects - including budgeting, scheduling, submittals, RFIs, contracts, and purchase orders - while maintaining professional and effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and field teams. This position reports directly to the Senior Project Manager .

Manage heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.Prepare, review, and return submittals for materials and equipment.Coordinate with Superintendents and Operations Managers to determine crew, equipment, and resource needs.Develop and maintain project cost codes and regularly update job cost tracking.Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.Review and approve subcontractor and supplier estimates, invoices, and change orders.Negotiate and coordinate all extra work orders and scope changes.Monitor production, resource utilization, and project costs to maintain targeted profit margins.Prepare and present monthly job cost and profitability projections.Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects , such as site development, roadwork, utilities, bridges, or earthwork.Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Proven track record of managing budgets, schedules, and quality standards in a heavy civil environment.Ability to build positive working relationships with clients, engineers, and local government agencies.Proficiency in construction management software, estimating tools, and project documentation.Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.What We Offer
