Title : Occupational Therapist – Outpatient

Location : Albuquerque, NM

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift, 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 – 17 : 00)

Job Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients in an adult outpatient rehabilitation setting.
  • Provide therapy for patients with neuro and orthopedic diagnoses, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and upper / lower extremity injuries.
  • Perform detailed assessments including cognitive, adaptive equipment, and functional capacity evaluations.
  • Develop and implement home exercise programs and educate patients and families on safety, adaptive strategies, and continued therapy needs.
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, kinesiotaping, myofascial release, splinting, and lymphedema management.
  • Document evaluations, plans of care, daily notes, and reassessments accurately and timely using EPIC EMR (preferred).
  • Collaborate with physical therapists and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize functional outcomes.
  • Manage a caseload of 45-minute treatment sessions and 60-minute evaluations, with scheduled documentation time.

    • Required Skills & Experience :

  • Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience (outpatient or adult rehabilitation preferred).
  • Experience with neuro and orthopedic patient populations.
  • Strong knowledge of adaptive equipment, ADLs, and functional mobility training.
  • Familiarity with EPIC charting system preferred.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
