Schedule : Flexible days off; part-time hours may be available
Duration : Minimum 640 hours from projected start date (possible extension)
Pay Rate : Up to $45.00 / hour (based on experience)
Start Date : November 3, 2025
Onsite / Remote : 100% Onsite
Security : Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card required
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent (New grads accepted!)
Position Summary :
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Arizona Pioneers’ Home provides direct, compassionate nursing care to residents during night shifts. The LPN will be responsible for administering medications and treatments, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to supervise and guide nursing assistants during the shift.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and facility policies.
- Document all resident care, assessments, and treatments promptly and accurately.
- Communicate resident status and care needs to the interdisciplinary team and other healthcare providers, ensuring continuity of care.
- Conduct and document assessments, prepare incident and infection control reports, and participate in quality improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Supervise and support nursing assistants to ensure adherence to care standards and Arizona Pioneers’ Home policies.
- Resolve shift-related issues, provide guidance, and assist with staff training as needed.
- Serve as a resident advocate by upholding residents’ rights, preferences, and care directives.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while interacting with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
- Perform wound care, vital sign monitoring, and other nursing duties as required by residents’ care plans.
- Report changes in residents’ conditions promptly to physicians and the nursing team.
- Review and update care plans in coordination with other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ongoing training, staff meetings, and compliance activities.
- Perform other nursing duties and administrative tasks as assigned.
