Title : Music Therapist (Director of Recreation)

Schedule : Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Create and lead the recreational program with recreational activities, hobby and interest building, physical activities, and events throughout the year.
  • Support clients in a holistic approach where recreation is one facet of wellness alongside behavioral skill building, medication support, dietary teaching, and pre-vocational training.
  • Contribute to helping clients develop skills to thrive and live independently in their community.

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree as an occupational therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, art therapist, or recreation therapist.
  • Must be registered or eligible for registration as an occupational therapist, music therapist, dance therapist, art therapist, or recreation therapist.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license.
  • Must have a current CPR certification is preferred.
  • Must have two (2) years' experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years, one year of which was full-time in a client activities program in a healthcare setting.

    Pay Range : $35 - $45 USD per hour
