The Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) in the Department of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM), St. Louis, MO seeks applicants for a faculty member to serve as the Medical Director of Infection Prevention for BJC HealthCare. Provide strategic clinical and epidemiological leadership and support to BJC HealthCare infection prevention teamsProvide direction for facility-based and regional IP teams and medical directors on prevention of and emergency response to infectious threatsLead all aspects of the work of the Infection Prevention teams across the BJC Healthcare systemProvide direction for the Occupational Health team for infectious risks as indicatedProvide clinical and epidemiologic guidance to other relevant teams and councils as needed, such as Patient Experience, Epic, Emergency Management, Patient Safety, Chief Medical, Nursing, and Operating Officer councilsParticipate in system-wide leadership meetings as indicatedEngage in emergency and pandemic responses through Incident Command structuresReport to and work with the Chief Quality Officer for BJC HealthCareWork with the infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship teams in the ID Division at Washington UniversityResponsibilities of Infectious Diseases Faculty Members at Washington University :
