🏥 Unit Overview\n\nL&D Beds : 8 (plus 6 overflow)\n\nTriage Beds : 7\n\nPostpartum Beds : 40 (includes Mother / Baby, Antepartum, GYN)\n\nBirths : 1,800–2,000 per year\n\nCharting System : Cerner (experience required)\n\n✅ Required Certifications\n\nL &D RNs : \n\nBLS\n\nACLS\n\nNRP\n\nAdvanced FHM (AWHONN)\n\nMust have C-section circulating experience\n\nMother / Baby & Postpartum RNs : \n\nBLS\n\nNRP\n\n 👩‍⚕️ Staffing & Ratios\n\nL&D : \n\n1 : 2 labor\n\n1 : 1 delivery\n\n1 : 3 triage\n\nPostpartum / Mother -Baby : \n\n1 : 4 couplets\n\nCharge Nurse : Yes (may take assignments)\n\nOB Techs : Assist in L&D, scrub for C-sections if needed\n\nNo IV team\n\nRT & Pharmacy : 24 / 7\n\nLaborist, Anesthesia, and Neonatologist on-site 24 / 7\n\n📅 Schedule & Shifts\n\nShifts : \n\n0630 –1900\n\n1830–0700\n\nWeekend Requirement : Every other weekend\n\nCall : Not required, but optional\n\nHolidays : Rotated with core staff\n\n🩺 Floating & Orientation\n\nFloating : May float to Postpartum\n\nOrientation : 1–2 shifts with a preceptor
