Travel Nurse Job Details Job Title : Med / Surg Registered Nurse (Float Pool) - Travel Assignment Location : Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio healthcare jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Start Date : December 1, 2025 End Date : March 2, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1940-$1990 per week Float Requirement : Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed within the healthcare organization Patient Population : Adults and Geriatrics Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg RN experience Active and valid Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio state RN license required at submission) Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program BLS certification (required for all nursing jobs) Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring Experience with EPIC electronic health records (EHR) system Ability to manage patient ratios of 1 : 4-5 Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Previous travel nursing experience required Two professional references required (at least one from a nurse manager, director, or formal leader) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med / Surg float pool environment Float to various hospital units as needed, supporting diverse patient populations Initiate and manage IVs, monitor telemetry, and document patient care using EPIC EHR Administer medications, blood products, and manage central and peripheral lines Perform wound care, manage feeding tubes, and provide tracheostomy care Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, and pharmacy services Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members Adhere to all safety, infection control, and patient care protocols in accordance with Ohio healthcare standards Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Columbus, Ohio, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
