Job description

Unit Notes

Department : Occupational Therapy

  • Unit : Occupational Health Jerome
  • # of patients treated per day : 8 to 10. 1 therapist per day.
  • General Certification Requirements : BLS
  • Other Certs Required for all OT : N / A
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Ortho-total joints, neuro- strokes, occasional brain injuries,

don't see TBI; medical, and General ICU.

  • Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient : Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed.
  • What areas are they required to cover : Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed. When census is low they will

    • float to Magic Valley Medical Center.

  • Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties : Must have 1 year of licensed experience in

    • acute inpatient or rehab experience, okay with first time travelers.

  • EMR : EPIC
  • Is there an OT Manager / Supervisor on each shift : Manager
  • Do you staff Rehab Aides : COTAs : no
  • Shifts & Scheduling : 5- 8 hour shifts, 0830-1700. No self scheduling.
  • Weekend Requirements : n / a
  • Holiday Requirements : May need to cover holidays.
  • Scrub Color / Dress Code : Scrubs permitted, must not match color of other departments. List of

    • colors available upon hire.

  • How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation : Usually 2-3 days in the department.

    • Travelers should plan on working M-F 5 8's to accommodate the onboarding schedule.

  • This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles. To ensure adherence to this rule, we will require the candidates' perm address in the submittal to confirm they are outside of that specified radius before proceeding with the profile review.
