Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for using safe lifting techniques, efficiently sorting, handling, loading, and unloading freight from over-the-road equipment, containers, city trailers, and/or straight trucks. The Warehouse Associate uses hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts in the loading and unloading of freight and other job duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

* Operates all material handling equipment in a safe manner

* Working with different departments to meet demands of the business

* Communicating any issues to the supervisor that can arise from loading and unloading

* Keeping up to date with new systems and technology

* Participate in daily inventory processes, auditing and researching discrepancies

* Demonstrate reliability and commitment to punctuality

* Performs all job tasks as assigned (may vary depending on client requirements)

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

* Good communication skills

* Ability to work well with a team

* Proficient in attention to detail

* Ability to work overtime (as needed) to meet operational and customer demands

* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
