DUTIES : Under general supervision of the Public Works Director, performs a variety of responsible administrative, technical, and clerical duties. The Executive Assistant provides advanced administrative and operational support to the Public Works Department. Work requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion and organizational skill. The Executive Assistant ensures efficient daily operations, facilitates effective communication, and requires accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following established procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Graduation from High School or G.E.D.
Experience : Requires four years of increasingly responsible office support experience, including public contact, detailed report writing, and analytical skills and the full range of technical and advanced administrative duties. Education may be substituted for required experience (one for one, up to two years maximum). Experience in municipal government or public sector environment preferred.
Certifications / Licenses : Requires a valid Utah Driver's License. Must possess Notary Public Certification within six months of hire.
SALARY : $26.05 to $41.68 (Salary Range) per hour depending on experience plus a comprehensive benefits package (health insurance, dental insurance, Utah State Retirements, life insurance, vacation time, sick time, etc.) Typical Hiring Range : $26.05 per hour to $33.87 per hour.
SCHEDULE : 40 hours per week M-TH : 7 : 30 a.m. to 6 : 00 p.m. Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required.
