Patient Care Technician
The Patient Care Technician on the Myeloma / Lymphoma unit at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse and directly impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.
The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma, a CNA certification and hands-on patient care experience. The candidate must be available to work a combination of two 12 and two 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays. Day / Evening (7 : 00am 7 : 00pm, 7 : 00am 3 : 00pm, 3 : 00pm 11 : 00pm) or Evening / Night (7 : 00pm 7 : 00am, 11 : 00pm- 7 : 00am, 3 : 00pm 11 : 00pm).
P10 Surgical / Oncology is a specialized inpatient unit providing care for surgical oncology patients, including those undergoing complex cancer-related procedures. Nurses on this unit deliver pre- and post-operative care, manage pain and complications, and provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
Hourly breakdown of salary range : Minimum $18.27 - Midpoint $22.84 - Maximum $27.40

Essential Job Functions :
Education Required : High school diploma or equivalent. Education Preferred : None. Experience Required : None Experience Preferred : One year experience in an acute care hospital setting as a Nursing Assistant. Licensure / Certification Required : None. Licensure / Certification Preferred : Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Other Required : Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
