We have opportunities available to support one of the following specialties : Orthopedics / Sports Medicine, Urology, Medical or Surgical Weight Loss, Family Practice, Neuroscience, Internal Medicine, or ENT.

FTE : 1.0, Shift : Day, Schedule : Monday - Friday, core business hours.

Position Summary : The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral part of the Physician / Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families / caregivers.

Responsibilities :

• Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
• Interviewing patients
• Obtaining vital signs
• Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments
• Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
• Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
• Relaying instructions / information to patients and their families / caregivers

Pay and Benefit Expectations : We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits and paid time off. The pay scale is $24.58 - $35.36 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to : skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and / or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
